Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özge Gökbulut Özdemir graduated from Hacettepe University Department of Economics in 2004 and completed her MBA in 2007 and PhD in 2011 in Ankara University Business Administration Department with her thesis on Turkish Art Industry. Also, she participated in graduate courses on Public Relations and Advertisement in Communication Faculty as well as painting, drawing and photography classes in Hacettepe University Fine Arts Department.
She has various academic researches on art industry, art entrepreneurship and the contributions of art to business. She has designed “Interaction with Art Project” series in order to close the gap between art and society. She has talks on art-entrepreneurship and marketing in international and national platforms.
Likewise in her academic works, she handles themes like consumption culture, technology and alienation in the context of individual versus environment. Her works were exhibited more than 30 national and international exhibits. She has exhibited last four years work in her solo exhibition named “On the Way” in 2019 in Ankara.
She has received 5 awards in art and 1 in science. She is member of scientific and artistic institutions such as ECSB, PPAD, SAKÜDER and KÜMEart. She is working on art industry project and art in Liverpool John Moores University as a visiting scholar while she is a faculty member of Ankara Yildirim Beyazıt University in Turkey.
